The Wrestler/ Hrvač (2008.)
Ok, everything is clear for a long time, Darren Aronofsky's my type. "The Wrestler" is a little different from his previous movies, but this is what I seek - a compelling story, brilliant acting, the emphasis on drama within the human being, and the tragedy of obsessive behavior - the result is a good movie!
Mickey Rourke may have played a role of life. Aging wrestler on the verge of existence doesn't accept the aggravating circumstances, his age, a sick heart, he is a fighter who lives and dies in the ring. Fighting is his obsession. Although obsessions are actually a mental disorder, I admire the strong will and persistence of each species, and I respect persistent and strong people too. "I was perfect", says Mickey (Randy the Ram) at the end, just as Nina in "Black Swan". Shocking scenes in Arofonsky's style shouldn't be emphasized because it's again brilliantly matched with the story.
